Aisha Jamila Hinds was born in the United States and is well-known for her part on The Shield. Ever since her debut in 2003, she has proven her ability as an actress, delivering stunning performances on television shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. Anna's character in Assault on Precinct 13 was her first big breakthrough. The film was her role as Fannie Lou (a women's activist for the rights of women) on the biographical All the Way film that brought her fame as an actor. Hind's performance as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's period drama Underground was also highly praised. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the series is scheduled to be renewed for a second season.
