Alison Doody
Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is an actress and model. Alison Doody first made a film debut as an actress and Bond actress with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she appeared in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte in Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody began her modeling career after the opportunity was offered by an aspiring photographer. She has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against glamour and nude work a clause which was extended to her acting career. After being noticed by the directors who were casting a James Bond new film, Doody acted in a tiny part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody's name appeared as a part of John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising actors of 1986. 38. Doody is only 18 when she played the part of Doody in A prayer for the dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke, is the youngest Bond girl who has a name to her. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody had an unspoken role as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias during the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version from The Secret Garden. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first lead part. The episode aired in 1988 opposite Dawn French, John Hurt as well as Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she starred as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathizer and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Doody later moved to Hollywood. She was Flannery her agent and her girlfriend in Major League II. She was chosen to be an alternative to Cybill Shepherd, who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. After a long absence from the stage Doody was back in the acting world and acted in a tiny role in 2003 British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine as her character in the award ceremony scene. In 2004, she starred with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She played a role in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. Doody appeared on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Then, she appeared in the RTE the medical drama The Clinic. She was supposed to be the star of a remake in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. Almeria the tierra de cinema award as well as an Almeria Walk of Fame star was presented on the 21st November 2018.
